The Carolina Forest Rotary Club volunteered to served dinner at The Shepherd’s Table. Prior to the dinner rush, the membership were given a special preview of a future project- a food pantry that hopes to provide those in need with food to take home. Back in the kitchen, volunteers poured drinks and served the meal to guests. After meal time, volunteers collected and washed trays, sanitized tables, and started prepping for lunch the next day. The Shepherd’s Table is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in Conway, South Carolina, providing nutritious meals to children and adults in the Conway area. Their mission is “Sharing God’s Love, One Meal at a Time.” This is accomplished by working to improve the lives of people in Horry County in need of assistance, by meeting the nutritional needs. There is no requirement to receive meals other than being present.
The Shepherd’s Table offers volunteer and community service opportunities Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for individuals who are 16 or older or as a group with your church or organization.
