Porter Medley has been a Rotarian in Carolina Forest Sunrise Club since July 2009. He has been an integral part of our club’s success. He is crucially responsible for the success our club has had in cultivating and nurturing both the Rotaract Club at Coastal Carolina University and the Interact Club at
Scholars Academy!
Porter is married to his loving wife, Crystal (Chris), and he is a retired university administrator at CCU. But that has not slowed him down any. You can still see him at sporting events and around campus. Porter has travelled the world and has many stories to share about his time abroad during his service in the US Navy. He loves the outdoors and enjoys finding places to set up the camper for what he calls
camping (hint shhh…glamping). Porter is a Sustaining member of Rotary International and a Paul Harris Fellow, and he was our Club’s Rotarian of the Year in 2011-2012. He is currently serving another
consecutive year as the Youth Services Chair for our club. He organizes our very successful Friday morning Smart Snacks and is always among the first to suggest a fellowship opportunity.
We are both proud and fortunate that Porter is a member of our Club!!! He has been a major part of our success, and we look forward to many more years of dedicated service!!
