Membership Spotlight: Dr. Darla Domke-Damonte

Darla Domke-Damonte has been a Rotarian in Carolina Forest Sunrise Club since October 2013. She has been an integral part of our club’s success especially as it comes to service. She, quite literally, wrote the book on Service in our community. Darla is a world traveler and speaks 5 languages: Russian, Slovak, German, Polish, and occasionally, English. She is the Associate Provost for Global Initiatives at CCU. She is married to her amazing husband, Taylor, and they have 2 children.

Darla is the current recipient of the World Peace through Rotary Award for our Club. Darla is a Paul Harris Fellow. She is also a Sustaining member of Rotary International. Darla has given so much more than money to our club, the Carolina Forest community, Coastal Carolina University, and beyond. She is very active in the Rotary Exchange program, the Rotary Global Grant program, and other international student affairs. Darla is serving this year as our Service Projects Chair. She is among the most kind, caring, and thoughtful Rotarians you will ever meet.

We are both proud and fortunate that Darla is a member of our Club!!! She has been a major part of our success, and we look forward to many more years of dedicated service!!

Please, join me in thanking Darla Domke-Damonte for her service to Rotary, the Carolina Forest Community, and our Carolina Forest Sunrise Rotary Club!
