Member Spotlight:

Carlos Scheer has been a Rotarian in Carolina Forest Sunrise Club since 2003. He is one of our earliest members, and he still shows a heart for international efforts. Carlos was born on April 2nd and has ancestral roots in the Ukraine. Largely because of this background, he gives so generously to international efforts. Carlos is a matching Benefactor for the CCU Rotaract’s international projects. He is also a multiple time Paul Harris Fellow. He is in the Paul Harris Society, the Bequest Society, is a Major Donor and Sustaining Member of Rotary International. Carlos has also earned our Club’s Service Above Self Award! But he does not only give with his wallet. You can also find him pitching in during many of our service events such as Smart Snacks, Road-Side Clean-ups, passing out food at one of our local food relief partners, and sharing Clothing Closet items in the Carolina Forest and Myrtle Beach areas.
